What's the biggest trend in resale today?  Aside from the ever present eBay, it is the proliferation of web-based fashion sites such as First Dibs, The Real Real,  Hello Lamode, One Kings Lane (furniture and clothes) and a host of others.

Many of these sites are easy to use and typically carefully vet the merchandise and offer accurate descriptions and measurements.  They are wonderful  places to shop if you are snowed in, home sick, are a total insomniac, live in the middle of nowhere, or just hate the whole live shopping process.  On the downside, if  you buy clothing that does not fit (think alterations), you have limited time to return it....or you are out of luck.  Some sites do not allow returns of jewelry, handbags, etc. so you better like the merchandise from the pictures before you commit.
 

WE'VE MISSED YOU!

These sites are great if you just want to bundle all your unused clothing, shoes, handbags, coats etc. into a box and never have to think about those things again.  If you get paid, great!  If not, do you get a tax deduction?  Does your merchandise go to a charity you support?  Better find out up front.
 
While many scoff at the bricks and mortar shopping experience, there is something be be said for a fun, friendly, thrill of finding treasures in person.  A big hug and welcome after not seeing our customers for awhile is such an uplifting experience for us!  Catching up on things, life, kids, vacations....it's all a part of the personal relationships we develop over time with our customers, consignors and friends.  There is a wonderful level of trust, care, loyalty and personal service that is special and rewarding for all of us.

We understand that online shopping is fast, convenient and sometimes the way to go...heck, we even do it!  But, we also value the personal relationships that have been built over the years and are so special for us at Classic Collections!  We will reopen come on Monday, September 16th.  Please....Come in and visit....We've missed you!
