The Louvre and Guggenheim Museums will be opening there in the next year and the air service to Abu Dhabi is superb. One must, of course, take in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a desert safari and an evening of authentic Arabian food to round out the true UAE experience. Dubai, which is an amazing almost Las Vegas-like city, is about an hour and one half just east of Abu Dhabi along the Persian Gulf. With it's striking architecture, a visit the the world's tallest building at 555 meters, the Burj Khalifa is a must. By the time you get to the restaurant and elegant bar at the top, you truly may need a drink!
