While we have been open all summer from Monday through Saturday, we are delighted to announce that beginning October 1, 2018 we will return to our normal schedule of 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm.
Yes, hard to believe, but we have missed our loyal customers, consignors and friends popping in to bring new items, check out sales and to tell us of their summer adventures. So, welcome back! What a terrific time of the year...beautiful colored autumn leaves swirling around up north, bright blue skies and air that feels just the tiniest bit nippy! Fall is finally arriving and thank goodness after the hot, hot days of summer!
What makes a woman absolutely just know that the season is turning? Of course, we're talking about the arrival of the Fall Fashion Bibles, weighing in at 4 to 6 pounds each. Yes, it's all about the fashion magazine trifecta of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair!
Not to be outdone, there's also Elle, InStyle and the always fashionable W Magazine to put you in the autumn mood. And we don't know about you, but every morning when one checks overnight emails, there are tons of fashion oriented posts-from the major department stores (Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's) to the specialty stores (Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Escada, Etro, D & G, Akris and so many more) to the "Shopping Websites" such as 1stDibs, le Prix, the RealReal and others.
 Having come through many three digit degree days, it's such a pleasure to peruse the perennial autumn favorites...especially tweeds! Check out the Autome-Hiver Collection of Chanel,Yves St. Laurent, Ralph Lauren Collection and Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton and Prada for your first peeks at those luscious tweedy looks. The sumptuous fabrics of Fendi, Versace, Chloe, Dior, Michael Kors and Dolce & Gabbana among others just make one want to wrap up and take a walk in the chilly, star laden nights. Ohhh, and did we mention the cashmere, tweed, fur wraps and shearling in all variations? Absolutely makes you want to go tailgating and toss down some spiced hot cider!

CLASSIC COLLECTIONS
EXERCISE ROUTINE!

Like many of us, exercise just is one of those things we dislike with a passion. Yes, we all know that we should do it, but for many it is an evil (though necessary) chore. Yes, it will make us healthier, more flexible, live longer, and better looking in clothes for which you pay a large fortune...yada, yada, yada.
Well, despair no more!
Here is the Classic Collections September Exercise Routine:
- Clean out your closets. Divide things into donate or consign piles. Pack large garbage or garment bags with unwanted, unused clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories. Pick up large bags and make several trips to vehicle. Unload bags at Classic Collections or a charity. Repeat with all closets in the house. Move on to your rented storage bins. Repeat process then help 10 friends do the same.
- Pick up September Vogue 100 times with each hand. Use several different arm exercises to get a better overall result. Repeat 100 more reps 3 times a day.

Speed walk to all of the restaurants that are participating in the "Flavor Palm Beach" promotional event for all of September. These numerous eateries in Palm Beach County are offering three-course prix fixe lunches for $25-$30 and dinners for $35 and up. To stay on the exercise program and do NOT eat the dessert course. After your meal, jog back to your car or home. Do not stop for ice cream! Repeat every day until the end of September. For a list of participating restaurants, see www.flavorpb.com.

Walk up and down either Worth Avenue, the Boca Raton Mall, the Palm Beach Gardens Mall, or the new Royal Poinciana Plaza. Do not take the escalators, elevators and make frequent trips back to the car to deposit your purchases (you can run to and from if you choose). Do NOT sample the free hor'doevres...limit your wine consumption, do not go to the restaurants to sit down and get your second wind. This is a test of your endurance as well as will power and it represents a great challenge!

While Gordon Gecko would probably disagree (who can forget "greed is good"?), at Classic Collections we tend to believe that giving is good. Especially if you are blessed with many more clothes, house wares, knick knaks, and just plain old stuff that you not only do not need, but most likely do not want (they don't fit you or your style or house) any more.
While you know that Classic Collections accepts luxury designer merchandise, we are happy to help you dispose of unwanted clothing, household items etc. by recommending some of the charities that we have worked with and support. Due to the recent years of difficult economic times, these non-profit agencies have seen a dramatic decrease in donations and their need for merchandise is unprecedented.

Needless to say, it's fun to shop for new designer clothing and jewelry, but it's even better to be able to find exceptional consigned pieces that in many cases are brand new. Consignment shopping is cost effective and allows you to try new looks for a fraction of the price of retail purchases. And, the beauty of understanding the theory of re-sale is that if you do buy something at retail and it doesn't fit, or you never wear it, just bring it in to us. That way, you have the opportunity to receive cash back to partially cover the original purchase and you can shop again-guilt free!
We are currently making appointments to accept fall and winter inventory. We are asking that you call us before you come in so that we can determine if we can accept all of your merchandise. If we can't, we can direct you to various charities that will be delighted to work with you for your tax deductible items. We also offer pickup by appointment and are happy to have you ship merchandise to us with advance notice. Just give a call, let us know what you have, and we'll take it from there!
We are pleased to work with estates and those downsizing and offer discreet and professional services to those who may need assistance in clearing out large homes. We have exceptional references and can provide the backup paperwork often needed for legal reasons.
