Operated by Ken and Sara Burns with their two adult sons, this firm specializes in important mid-20th century fine jewelry, especially items made by such venerable designers as Cartier, David Webb, Tiffany, etc.

With two GIA Graduates and two GIA Diamond graduates, this jewelry family is well equipped to address any jewelry need. Each member is well qualified to buy, sell and appraise items. Sara is their in-house jewelry designer, ready to help you convert existing articles or to create cherished new ones. The family's experience stems from four decades of international exposure in the industry not only at important shows but in one- on-one transactions with jewelers as well as with private parties.

On February 25, we celebrated the American Humane effort to honor the Award Winning Hero Dogs from 2018 and to begin the Campaign for this year's Hero dogs. We had the extreme pleasure of visiting with our friends, Nick, Brenna and Sergeant "Fieldy", a black lab who was reunited with Nick, his handler and is living with them as his forever family. Fieldy completed 3 tours in Afghanistan and saved countless American lives in his capacity as a bomb sniffing expert. This year's Hero Dogs can currently be voted on by everyone world-wide by going to HeroDogAwards.org. The 7 categories include Law Enforcement/Arson, Guide/Hearing, Search and Rescue, Therapy, Service, Military and Shelter-the rescue dogs who do extraordinary things!

With the sad passing of the most iconic, creative fashion designer in years, German born Karl Lagerfeld on Feb 19, the world lost an artist, photographer, luxury designer, collaborator with other designers and unique and totally iconic gentleman. Recognized for his signature white hair, black sunglasses fingerless gloves and high, starched detachable high white collars, Lagerfeld had a varied, interesting and long career.
Known for his early work with Pierre Balmain, he moved on to be artistic director with Jean Patou then began freelancing for such houses as Chloe, Krizia, Charles Jourdan and Valentino. In 1967 he was hired by Fendi to redesign their fur line and he stayed there until Fendi's death.

In the 1980's, Lagerfeld was hired by Chanel, considered a "near-dead brand" since Coco had passed nearly 10 years earlier. Bringing life back to the company, Lagerfeld revamped its's ready-to-wear fashion line and integrated the interlocked CC monograph into a style pattern for the House of Chanel.
While he worked with Chanel until his death, he also introduced his own eponymous brand "Karl Lagerfeld", collaborated with Diesel, worked with Orrefors Crystal, made films, collected oddities and adored his cat, Choupette. He was cremated and his ashes spread near those of his mother and his former partner, Jacques de Bascher.
